Van Meter & Associates, Incorporated provides professional consulting and expert witnessing services concerning law enforcement policies, procedures, performance evaluation systems, training, field-tactics, use of force, and related human resources issues.

Initial Telephone Inquiries: No fee is charged for an initial telephone consultation (of short duration with no additional follow up required) regarding case background issues. Please call 614-451-8901.

Case Reviews: All materials for review should be sent certified mail. The retainer must be in the enclosed materials. IMPORTANT NOTICE: We consider the legal firm representing the plaintiff/defendant to be our client and responsible for payment of all fees.

Normally, clients will be contacted within ten work days of the receipt of materials to discuss findings, and receive a first-impression opinion. Depending on findings, a draft opinion will then sent to the client for review, along with an invoice for remaining unpaid hours due. A final report will be notarized and delivered upon receipt of final payment.

Depositions and Court Testimony: VMA can provide services in this area. Please call our office at 800-331-8025 for details.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds: Cancellations or rescheduling of dates must be received at VMA no later than 14 work-days prior to the scheduled date to receive a full refund. Cancellations or rescheduling within this period of time will be charged a $500.00 cancellation or rescheduling fee.

Van Meter and Associates is committed to working closely with clients by keeping them informed of important issues as they develop, and by seeking pre-approval for all work and/or expenses involved in their cases.
